Brother & Sister Art Studio

Founded in 2017, Ribbons of Design is a family owned (brother and sister to be specific) and operated design studio.

Baris (brother) and Su (sister) started Ribbons of Design, with only one thing in mind: pursuing their passion for creating art. They didn't know how exactly it was going to be - Su, a lawyer and Baris, an engineer. They put their minds and hands together, worked hard, and watched this small business change shape over time, to gradually become what it was meant to be. Su focused on finding and unfolding herself as an artist, and Baris focused on the technical sides of things (often being teased that he is doing the boring part).

Su can proudly say that Ribbons of Design gave her the outlet and opportunity that she didn't know she needed to become the person she wanted to be. Leaving her career and her home country of Türkiye for a new land and a new path was the best decision of her life. Now she knows what she loves, does what she loves, and knows what she has to do to be herself.

Art is a journey and we feel like there is no end to the possibilities of making meaning out of medium. So we are learning every day, and hoping to give some of that joy we get from creating to the people we cross paths with.
